Newborn twins and their sister have become orphans at an early age, after their 24-year-old mum, Stephanie Caceres,  died on the funeral day  of their 26 year old  Dad, Jevaughn Suckoo, who was shot and killed on July 11th at the Renaissance Apartments in West Palm Beach, Florida. Stephanie Caceres who welcomed her baby three days after the death of her boyfriend wrote on Facebook; “I just don’t understand how someone can have the heart to leave three kids without a father especially two that never got the chance to even meet him,” she posted. “They didn’t deserve this! I’m trying I really am to stay strong but this has to be the toughest battle I’ve ever had to fight.” However, Stephanie suffered complications from an infection that resulted from her C-section two days later, and was admitted to the Intensive Care Unit. An artist has put taboo topics at the heart of her work in a bid to promote self-love among young women. Spanish artist Cinta Tort Cartró, 21, creates striking multi-coloured artworks inspired by underwear stained with menstrual blood and stretch marks, in her efforts to encourage women to see their perceived ‘flaws’ as beautiful. The artist, from Torrelles de Llobrega, who has suffered with body image issues herself, embarked on a project tackling the taboo around menstruation, entitled:  ‘I’m not disgusted by my stains’. So the qualified teacher, who pursues art as a hobby, began to create rainbow-coloured stain-like patterns on underwear with bright paint and glitter for the project around seven months ago. Several of her works, created on models, are meant to depict menstrual blood flowing down a woman’s leg. According to Trezzhelm, the girl pictured below is a 10-year-old girl who lives with her uncle in Gonigora, Kaduna. She is out of school, malnourished, battered and last Sunday, her uncle’s wife Mrs Remi Joseph allegedly burnt her buttocks with fire and abandoned her without treatment. She was left unattended to until a spirited neighbor reported the case to the presenter of Oga landlord on Capital Sounds 90.9fm. An Instagram user, Van Ladi, took to Instagram to cry out over the alleged beatings he got after allegedly confronting the governor of Taraba State, apparently! Here’s what he wrote; I booked an @overland flight from Jalingo to Abuja for 1pm today and when we all got to the airport we were told there was gonna be a 30mins delay which we agreed to. We waited for 2 hours without any information from the airline or the airport authorities. After 2 hours, I and my colleagues got so hungry that we had to look for food at the closest location to the airport which is the Nysc camp mammy market all because the airport is at a remote location far away from the town. All passengers at the airport kept complaining when minutes became hours and there no sign of us taking off soon.
